Kyra is back!!!

Miss Kyra decided to go on a little adventure while I was in Portland a few weeks ago. She was VERY hungry when she finally came home. We think she spent some time locked in a very nice new home down the street, and we are relieved that she wasn't eaten by a fox!

Smokey turned 6 today! I think that makes him 43 in human years.

Not sure about the candle...

Also not crazy about having his picture taken. ..

Lake Jocassee - June 2007

Dad & I went kayak camping on Lake Jocassee at the end of June 2007. We originally planned two nights out but our trip was cut short by severe thunderstorms rolling through the area. The trip started around midday on Friday. The paddle from the park to the designated camp sites on the other side of the lake is about 2 miles. The next day we paddled around 12 miles looking for waterfalls and feeder rivers and creeks.

Kayaking Cedar Creek

We had a great weekend kayaking in the Congaree National Forest. Vicki and Chad were in town from Texas and paddled with us. We saw a lot of snakes and no one fell in!

Jenny & Foster entered in the most unusual trick competition.

Foster is showing off his frisbee skills. They didn't place this time. Foster says the jury was rigged.

Being a dog can be hard. Foster is asleep on his feet.
