Here she is singing her newest song. Sometimes it's easier to understand, and she does get a little sidetracked after the second time through, but if you know the tune, you should be able to follow along!

Itsy Bitsy Spider
Don and I went to Preschool orientation for Kate tonight. I think she's going to have a LOT of fun there. Tomorrow she meets her teachers - Ms. Linda and Ms. Rene. I'll keep you posted! You know, because Kate is so excited about preschool!

Survived
Turns out Kate might not have the same lucky number as I do. Friday the 13th turned out to be not the best of days. Unless you ask Don, who pointed out that at least she's not wearing a cast for her first trip to the beach. So true! Maybe 13 will be lucky for Kate afterall?
A little sliding after dinner.. fun!

Catching water! More fun!!

Baby's first ER visit.. Not so fun!

"Sticker" on her toe? Surprisingly, not so fun (she was a fan of the ID bracelets, though).

Hanging out with Daddy reading the privacy policy....

Expensive trip to the ER, but a quick 2 second fix for Nursemaids elbow? Priceless!
Don't worry... she's up to her old tricks again. Nothin's slowing this baby down!

TEXAS!
The Stars at night, are big and bright....

Come on everyone, sing along!
Deep in the heart of TEXAS!
Yes, I am, indeed deep in the heart of TEXAS. And yes, TEXAS will tell you that it always deserves to be in all caps.
Dinner at the Salt Lick.

Then we hit the outlets. Kate really made out...

At first I thought this was just some strangely shaped waffle, or perhaps a rabbit. I didn't even think about a TEXAS shaped waffle.

And Kate? I think she and Don are having fun daughter/Daddy time. My favorite?
Don: "Kate, where's Mommy?"
Kate: "Not at park." "Not see saw"
Don: That's right.
She also knows that I'm not in Paris, but I am in TEXAS!
Daddy's spoiling her with fancy mylar Dora balloons from Publix.

My morning photo! I'm looking forward to getting back home to these two.

See Saw
That's right! We finally found it! We also found more slides, a trickling water sprayer, and lots of fun at a park in town.

Yeah, this looks totally safe.

Slide!!

"Kay Kay take shower!"
She was shy at first... then she was soaked.
We made a new friend - Chip Chip (a small bobble-headed chipmunk sitting on something like corn). I don't normally let Kate pick up lost toys at the park, but we made an exception for this little guy because he looked pretty clean.

It was a great, LONG day.

Geese
It is incredibly hard to focus on goose necks in a bunch of grass. In case you wondered. Or maybe there is a trick that I don't know yet. At any rate, I don't expect National Geographic to call me anytime soon.

Kate wasn't with me. Otherwise I would have captured her pointing at or honking like a goose.

Not Me! Monday
I haven't been much in the blogging sort of mood lately, and a friend recently reminded me that I was falling down on my job. You know, the job I have keeping all of Kate's fans happy with lots of photos and stories and the like. So I was sitting here looking for inspiration and then I realized it's MONDAY!
How perfect! A compilation of things that I did not do since my last post. I thought about how glad I was that I would never put both of Kate's legs into one leg hole of her pajamas or buckle her face into her seatbelt (that's impossible anyway, right?). And then... I did not totally draw a blank, turning a potentially hilarious post into a dud. Argh.
In attempt to redeem myself, I will use lights and mirrors and pictures of Kate to distract you from my recent lack of motivation. And she's cute, so it should totally work. I was not too lazy to edit the video of her "jumping" rope.... maybe tomorrow?
More pool time.

Helping Daddy.
