Memorial Day 2010

It rained. All day. Cats, dogs and goats.* At one point there was about a half of an inch of standing water in our backyard.

Needless to say, we played inside most of the day.

Recovery Monday

We're still recovering from our weekend. You've only seen the half of it. Here's the other half...


Thankfully "beef roni" as Kate says, washes off. I was certain she was stained permanently.


We celebrated Tate's 2nd birthday...


And Ben and Elizabeth's move to Japan... with a Saki toast.


There was a jump castle. "Jump! Jump! Jump!" she did... tentatively.


Bean bag toss boxes were better for sitting.

And the cousins enjoyed each other's company. This will be the last picture of us all together for 3 or so years I guess.


Apparently I left before my MOM jumped in the jump castle! Hope someone got pictures of that!

Ok, off to study more for the boards. Can I just tell you that I'm getting pretty sick of all of this studying? It's really draining my brain. I did not try to unlock my door at work today by pressing the unlock button on my car key. That's just insane. :)

My Mom has come up with some exciting ways to keep Kate on the potty for a couple of minutes. Airplane combs, curlers. Who woulda thunk? And yes, she does actually use the potty (most days). "Bye bye Poo Poo!" I will be selling Mom's potty training tips if they actually pan out. So far so good. Thanks Nanna!!

Great Day!

What a fantastic day to hang out with old friends at the aquarium. It has been quite a year for friends actually, considering most of my favorite ones live out of state. September was Montana with my old grad school buddy, Lisa. Then in February, I was able to visit with Ashleigh and Grayson. Ashleigh once made me do a cheerleading dance to Britney Spears' "Toxic." Ok, she didn't make me, but I would only do that for a handful of people. March was Raleigh with my old roomie, Anna. And today, the Charleston Aquarium with my grad school friend and Maid of Honor, Dori, and John and their adorable little Ian. Isn't it the best when you can not see someone for years and then pick up like you saw them just last weekend.
