Snowed in!

I could be outside "digging out" of the snow, but there's really nowhere to go, so instead I'm inside admiring it out of my big front window. By our estimates we got around 6 or 7 inches. They said 8 at the airport. Needless to say, its more snow than I've probably ever seen on the ground (one time in Clemson came close). What I also was reminded of this morning is that snow is COLD. Ok, yes, newsflash for you all. It just drove home the fact that I'm a true Southern girl.

Here's our lovely home. I meant to get a picture before the herd of buffalo husband and dog came through the front yard, but you still get the picture - lots of white stuff.

The road into our neighborhood. Icy. Totally unpassable by Southern standards.

Kate was out and about early.

It came up past her knees. She didn't seem to mind much.

With Mama. She didn't like being picked up. She wanted to be down. In the COLD COLD snow.

Don and Dog playing in the front yard. Apparently snow takes mountain biking to a whole new level. Please, keep an eye out on Don's blog for more bike pics.

A little snow frisbee to keep dog warm.

The best way to play in the snow.

Ok, we're going to warm up now, maybe watch some movies or Olympics, and watch the snow melt. Because the sun is out and that's the thing about snow in the South, it melts. Fast.

Oh, and probably no snowman b/c this stuff is SUPER powdery. But of course, we'll try.
